Parochial Church Council (PCC)

The PCC currently has 22 members, 12 of whom are elected at the annual meeting for a three year term of office and the remainder are ex-officio or co-opted. These include the vicar, the wardens, 4 Deanery Synod reps, and 3 co-opted to represent young people, Scouts and Guides and church music. Standing Committee has 6 members, the incumbent, two churchwardens, lay vice chair, treasurer and secretary. The PCC meets every six weeks with Standing Committee held two weeks prior, to allow for minutes to be produced and sent out with the agendas. Standing Committee considers routine decisions and brings them to PCC via minutes, leaving the PCC to think about bigger issues allowing them to hold a larger picture of the Church and be at its heart, leading the way. The PCC invites reports from all the various church groups with the aim of opening up channels of communication and developing better understandings.
