Groups and Activities
Children’s groups: Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
There is Sunday School for children aged 5 to 15 during the service at 9:30. All teachers are trained and checked under our child protection policy. The groups are both fun and help children to develop in Christian faith.
Young people: T.A.Y.C (Totally Awesome Youth Club)
Young people from school year 5 upwards meet together each Thursday for a variety of activities including Bible Study, Socials, Fund Raising and planning various events of which they are a part. The usual time of meeting is Wednesday between 6:30 and 8:00pm, but is dependent on the activity planned. Please see the ‘News’ section of this website for details of meetings or contact James Robinson (youth and schools worker) at noahsapprentice[at]yahoo.co.uk for more details.
Xpression
Xpression is a time of fun and creativity for the whole family (but aimed at primary school age children and their parents). Xpression includes an after school snack, music, stories and a craft to take home. Xpression meets on Wednesdays from 3:30pm - 5:00pm in the Parish Hall during school term time. PLEASE NOTE that a parent or guardian must be present. Please contact James Robinson (youth and schools worker) at noahsapprentice[at]yahoo.co.uk for more details.
Café Church
Fancy a proper cup of coffee or tea, homemade cake or biscuit, and maybe a nice chat? Then Café Church is the place to be: Wednesday mornings in the Parish Hall from 9:30 to 11:30.
Fellowship Groups
There are a number of groups meeting fortnightly in members’ homes for a relaxing time together, including Bible study and prayer. Two groups meet on a Tuesday afternoon, and the others meet on weekdays in the evening. For more information, please ring the church administrator on 386 7224.
Mothers’ Union
St. Mary Magdalene has a branch of the Mothers’ Union which meets monthly. The group is concerned with all issues affecting family life in modern society, and is involved in charitable work at home and abroad. For meeting times please see the ‘News’ section of the website.
